New meat recipe's

New recipe booklets to help you get ready for a sizzling summer of events





With a huge summer of sport and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, people across the country won't be short of reasons to get together with friends and family.

So to help inspire them to prepare a meal fit for royalty, Welsh red meat promotion agency Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC), has created two new recipe booklets filled with fresh ideas using Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef, which will be available from your local butcher.

The Welsh Lamb recipe booklet includes a BBQ chops recipes with three different marinades including a garlic, rosemary and chilli flavour that is perfect to enjoy while watching the world's top athletes this summer, while the mini Welsh Lamb crowns are ideal if you are organising a dinner party to celebrate the Jubilee.

There is also a recipe for a butterfly leg of Welsh Lamb with a soy, orange and thyme marinade, which is accompanied by an online step-by-step guide for those who want to have a go at butterflying a leg of lamb at home.

The Welsh Beef book includes recipes inspired by flavours from across the world such as Spain, China, Greece and America.

Recipes such as the Welsh Beef meatball paella, sirloin steak with Greek rub and the Welsh Beef brisket with cola are sure to tantalise the taste buds this summer.
