Honour for young auctioneer
Young livestock agent Ethan Bronca's commitment to clients, along with his work ethic, has seen him take top honours as RMA's young agent of the year.
The O'Connor & Graney Livestock agent, based out of Mount Gambier in South Australia's South East, says "being a part of a great team" and "having the opportunity to work with a range of clients from smaller operators right through to large-scale farming businesses" has enabled him to excel in the industry to date.
"The team at O'Connor & Graney have always been supportive and given me opportunities to stretch myself and take on varying degrees of responsibility," he said.
"Being nominated for the RMA young agent of the year award was a humbling experience – especially that my colleagues ... thought enough of me to enter me.
"To come away with a win was even better and a nice pat on the back from an industry that backs young people."
Rural Marketing Agents (RMA) annual Awards of Excellence were held on the Gold Coast in late July.
Mr Bronca was presented with the award by RMA chief executive Michael O'Brien after making a speech to more than 100 delegates, in which he spoke about his commitment to his clients.
"For me, it doesn't matter whether I'm dealing with a small-scale operator or one of the really large producers, I really enjoy being able to help everyone out – big or small.
"Being able to communicate easily with clients is very important and building a good rapport has seen myself and the team able to have clients on our books for years – often generations.
