Prestage Farms and two other North Carolina livestock companies have purchased some 750,000 metric tons of corn from Brazil amid soaring U.S. prices, according to a report by Reuters.
The purchases via companies such as Archer Daniels Midland and Bunge are the largest on record, according to the report.
