Chinese investment

Foreign Ministry, Ali Karti affirmed, after the talks held between the President and the Chinese Foreign Minister, the entrance of eight Chinese agricultural companies to work in agriculture development in Sudan.


“President Al Bashir directed granting facilitations to the Chinese companies working in Chad, Central African Republic and the Republic of South Sudan to transport its equipment through the Sudanese lands to the three states”, Karti said
For his part, the Chinese Foreign Minister, Yang Jiechi pledged that China will support Sudan politically and economically in the upcoming stage especially after south Sudan secession and declaring its independence.

Jiechi told journalists after meeting the Sudanese President and Foreign Minister, Ali Karti, that China is ready to cooperate with Sudan in many aspects especially in oil, agriculture and minerals fields.
He affirmed that China will continue its efforts with the international community to find final solution to Abyei conflicted area, pointing out that Beijing is concerned to halt violence in South Kordofan.

On Darfur crisis, the Chinese Foreign Minister said that the solution could be through development and curbing poverty which will lead to peaceful coexistence between the tribes.
It is worth noting that China had called on the international community to normalize relations with Khartoum after south Sudan secession last month, affirming its keenness to build good relations with south Sudan.
The Chinese Foreign Minister concluded his 2-day visit to Khartoum during which he held talks with Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Minerals, Investment and Petroleum besides meetings with the economical official in the NCP.
China is considered that biggest economical partner to Sudan as it dominates oil sector which produce 480 thousand barrels/day.
Jiechi departed Khartoum yesterday heading toward Juba in what is considered the first visit of a high Chinese official to the Republic of South Sudan after independence.
