Grain costs soaring
Members of the Ghana National Poultry Farmers Association have been alarmed by the sudden skyrocketing of maize prices as a result of inadequate supplies.
During the weekend, they appealed to the Government to intervene in the current maize shortage and the subsequent rise in prices of the product.
They said the rise in the price of maize could affect the production of poultry products and subsequently consumers as Christmas gets closer, according to Ghana Web.
