HARVESTING: Machinery at work during Mid Devon Show.
The field near Tiverton was just dry enough after the early summer soaking to take the machines and together they made a remarkable sight.
Show secretary Carolyn Branton said: "How lucky was that to be able to combine corn after all the rain we've had? We couldn't have asked for more.
"It was one of our best demonstrations, with nine local dealers as well as the horses and the vintage machinery."
Numbers of visitors to the show were slightly down at 14,500, mainly because some exhibitors could not get away from work on the farm which had been delayed because of the weather.
"It was understandable because we have had such a wet summer that the farmers took advantage to get their work done," said Carolyn.
