ADELAIDE will host the 2013 AUSVEG National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence in May next year, in what AUSVEG hopes will be the biggest convention yet.
The three-day event, now in planning for its fourth year, has attracted 800 to 1000 delegates over the past two years, and AUSVEG national marketing manager Simon Coburn expects the 2013 convention to surpass that mark.
“We will be holding the event at the world-class Adelaide Convention Centre, which will accommodate a huge Trade Show featuring an elite cross section of horticultural businesses and products,” said Mr Coburn.
“The AUSVEG Convention is the largest event of its kind for the horticulture industry and we are already seeing a spectacular line up of events and speakers coming together.
“The Convention is a key event within the horticulture calendar, providing business and networking opportunities across the entire supply chain. We also expect it to generate approximately $1m of expenditure for Adelaide,” said Mr Coburn.
