Beef Leaders Premier Bull Sale at Cloncurry on Friday, September 7

RONDEL Stud is one of four studs that make up the vendors' list for the Beef Leaders Premier Bull Sale at Cloncurry on Friday, September 7.

They join David and Prue Bondfield's Palgrove Charolais, Jennifer McCamley's Tartrus Brahmans and Scott and Lizette McCamley and Andrew and Anna McCamley's Lancefield Brahman Stud in presenting drafts of bulls at the sale.

This year's catalogue totals 117 bulls consisting of 35 Charolais, 58 Grey Brahmans and five Red Brahmans, along with Rondel's 19 Droughtmasters.

Peter Carrington believes Northern cattle producers have really appreciated the introduction of Cloncurry's Beef Leaders Sale, which was initiated through a desire by selling agents Brodie and Co and McCaffrey's Australian Livestock Marketing to present an annual multi-breed offering of exceptional bulls, all backed by the beef industry's leading stud bloodlines, right at the hub of the North's cattle country in Cloncurry.

"I know we and all our fellow vendors have a very high regard for this sale, and are absolutely committed to cataloguing only very high standard bulls each year," Mr Carrington said.

"It's obvious through the support of cattle breeders up here at the past three Beef Leaders Sales, that they are eager to invest in proven leading genetics to optimise herd performance."

Prospective bull buyers will get every assistance from the sale vendors to aid their selections of bulls from the sale.

Current weights, dentition, carcase scans, scrotal measurement and semen motility data will be available.

Sale co-ordinator Ken McCaffrey of McCaffrey's Australian Livestock Marketing, Rockhampton, after inspecting the 2012 sale teams from vendor's studs, believes the sale is going from strength to strength with this year's offering superior to previous years.

"Ideal bulls, appropriately presented, sound and correct structured and beautifully bred from proven sirelines and damlines it's certainly a sale every cattle producer in the North and West should attend," Mr McCaffrey said.

Sale catalogues and details are available from McCaffrey's Australian Livestock Marketing, Rockhampton, on (07) 4922 6311, or Brodie and Co, Cloncurry, on (07) 4742 1144.
