HID Global's iCLASS SE Wins Detektor International Award for Best Product of 2012
iCLASS SE Access Control Platform Recognised as an Outstanding Innovation and Contribution to the Advancement of the Security Industry.
HID Global®, a worldwide leader in secure identity solutions, today announced that its iCLASS® SE platform has been selected as the winner of the ‘Best Product’ award in the Access Control category from Detektor International, which recognises products that reflect outstanding innovations and contributions to the advancement of the security industry. This recognition marks the eighth award for the iCLASS SE platform by leading organisations and publications worldwide.
Setting a new benchmark for highly adaptable, interoperable and secure access control solutions, HID Global’s iCLASS SE platform allows customers to future-proof their access control infrastructure using products based on open standards and interoperability. The platform solutions work with a range of products, including NFC enabled smartphones and other devices, as well as commercial and residential locks.

The judges consist of members of Detektor’s editorial board and the award was presented last night at the Detektor’s Security Banquet at Stockholmsmässan during the Skydd 2012 security show in Stockholm.

HID Global continues to enhance its iCLASS SE platform to deliver new capabilities with the addition of the iCLASS SeosTM credential that reinforces the platform with increased security, privacy and portability. Featuring a standards-based universal card edge, the iCLASS Seos is multi-application credential that supports a flexible data model to accommodate requirements from the most demanding applications. Portable for use on NFC smartphones, the credential also provides data confidentiality /strong authentication with state-of-the-art cryptography for mutual authentication and data encryption that protects the privacy of contactless communications. The iCLASS SE platform, including iCLASS Seos credentials, also supports Seos digital keys from HID Global parent company ASSA ABLOY, which has launched a Seos ecosystem for issuing, delivering and revoking digital keys on mobile phones with NFC technology.
