Building stone walls
Entries are being invited for this summer’s Snowdonia Society dry stone walling competition at Hafod y Llan farm, Nant Gwynant.
Now in its 29th year, the competition is on Sunday, June 17, and will have a new beginners’ category in addition to professional and amateur classes.
As the competition is part of Open Farm Sunday, spectators are encouraged to watch the walling action.
Other activities will include sheep shearing, working dog demonstrations, cookery workshops and farm walks.
Entry forms are on the Snowdonia Society website or by contacting 01286 685498 or info@snowdonia-society.org.uk
The society is also running a free introduction to dry stone walling course for members at Pensychnant on June 2-3.
