The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA) has published in the Official Gazette a simplified methodology for the official control of milk yield in cattle, sheep and goats.
This regulation amending Annexes I, II, III and IV of Royal Decree 368/2005 which regulates the official milk control for genetic evaluation of these livestock species.
The new annexes will be applied according to the non permament recommendations of the International Committee for Animal Control Performance (ICAR).
These are related to the guidelines that the national commission for milk regulation has set out.
The new Royal Decree will make the margins for the milk controls more flexible in terms of private and official.
The MAGRAMA is authorised to make these changes in order to meet the EU requirments .
