Lift in milk prices
Murray Goulburn is increasing the price it pays its milk suppliers.
The dairy co-operative has raised its farmgate milk price by 20 cents per kilogram of protein and eight cents per kilogram of butterfat.
That takes the overall price to $4.77 cents per kilogram of milk solids.
Murray Goulburn says the increase was made possible by an increase in milk supply and a reduction in operating costs.
The co-operative recently announced a series of job cuts and factory closures
