Australia
The price of vegetables
The body representing the country's vegetable growers predicts prices for fresh produce could start coming down as summer approaches and vegetables from Queensland become more available.
The high Australian dollar has also led to an increase in imported processed food, making it difficult for local producers to compete.
William Churchill, from Ausveg, says in particular consumers should see tomato prices fall.
"Yields will begin coming out of Queensland as we get further into spring and into summer and then we'll start seeing a lot more produce coming on line from there and that will start having an effect on prices as supply starts to go up."
