Rapidbay-UK and Erie Jerseys to the Fore at Calf Show

The Rapidbay-UK and Erie herds dominated the Jersey line-up at the All-Breeds All-Britain Calf Show on 5th - 7th October at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
Rapidbay-UK Jade Rumour was the Champion Jersey at the All-Breeds All-Britain Calf Show, and was one of six Rapidbay-UK bred animals in the Championship line-up of ten.

Six of the ten calves in the Championship were bred in the Rapidbay-UK stud of the Strachan family in Suffolk, and another three from the Erie herd of the Morgan family near Carmarthen.
Claiming the Championship was Rapidbay-UK Jade Rumour, with Erie Governor Gorgeous in Reserve spot and Erie Rory Sombrero as Honourable Mention.
In the Coloured Breeds Showmanship Classes Jersey handlers were placed first in three of the five classes, with Jersey Youth members taking the top five places in the Junior section.
Claire Daw of the Bluegrass herd was Champion Jersey Handler at the All-Breeds All-Britain Calf Show. Arwyn Wilson, Tregibby, and Matt Pye, Bayview, were Reserve and Honourable Mention.

Congratulations are also in order to the Lakes Club on winning the Tidy Lines competition. The Lakes Jersey Club made a great effort to present their entries as a team in 2011 and have built on that this year, with great success.
