New FUW county officer for Glamorgan
Former Bridgend solicitor Rachel Taylor has just started work as the Farmers' Union of Wales county executive officer based at its Cowbridge office.
A former pupil of Cowbridge Comprehensive School and law graduate of Cardiff University, Miss Taylor has worked for Gaskell & Walker Solicitors at their Bridgend and Cowbridge offices since 2005 and assisted clients with planning applications, land purchase and landlord and tenant issues.
Her partner is a farmer and she is acquainted with agricultural matters such as government subsidies, movement of cattle and general day-to-day farm management.
"I am really looking forward to the different challenges which my new appointment with the FUW will give me," said Miss Taylor, who lives on a farm at Bonvilston in the Vale of Glamorgan.
